Meet the Coach

Coach McCarty has been part of the wrestling community for almost 35 years.  He wrestled at Byron High School  where he was a multiple time State finalist and State Champion. His High school team also won the State Dual Team Championship his junior year. Following high school he continued wrestling at Lincoln Junior College and North Central College.  He was a CCIW Conference Champion, Midwest Regional Champion, and NCAA National Qualifier for North Central. Following College he began teaching and coaching  in Illinois.  During his time as a Head Coach he has one multiple Regional titles and placed 4th in IHSA Dual State Tournament.  Coach McCarty is currently coaching at Aurora Central Catholic and working to build the program into a state contender .
